Hotel Booking Conditions

1. Booking and Cancellations
Once the booking is confirmed, it will not be possible to modify the dates or the number of guests. For non-refundable rates, in case of cancellation or no-show (failure to arrive on the first night for any reason not attributable to the Hotel), 100% of the total amount will be charged. A no-show is considered the failure to check in within the first night of stay, in which case the reservation will be automatically cancelled without further notice. For refundable rates, any change requires cancellation and re-booking. To cancel or modify a reservation, please contact the reception at info@baiasangiorgio.it.

2. Identification Documents
All guests, including children and infants of any age, must present a valid photo ID upon check-in. The European Health Insurance Card is not a valid ID document (Art. 109 of the Italian Public Security Law – T.U.L.P.S.). Guests from non-EU countries must present a valid passport. Driving licences from non-EU countries are not accepted for registration purposes. If one or more guests fail to provide the required documents, room keys cannot be handed over until registration has been completed. Minors must always and without exception be accompanied by an adult. Guests under the age of 18 travelling alone are not accepted. If a minor is accompanied by someone other than a parent or legal guardian, a written authorisation from the parent/guardian and a copy of their ID document are required.

3. Number of Guests
The booking is valid only for the number of guests indicated at the time of confirmation. Only registered guests may stay in the room; it is strictly forbidden to accommodate third parties not included in the reservation. Additional guests not listed in the booking may be accepted at the sole discretion of the reception staff and will be subject to extra charges depending on the period, occupancy, room type, and notice provided, according to the official rate list. Admission of additional guests is not guaranteed. Visitors or occasional guests are subject to an entrance ticket fee before 7:00 p.m. during the high summer season, or may access after that time only if they are customers of the Hotel’s restaurant/pizzeria. In all cases, it is strictly forbidden to accommodate unregistered guests. In such circumstances, the Hotel will report unregistered persons to the competent Authorities and immediately remove them from the premises.

4. Check-in and Check-out
Check-in is available from 5:00 p.m. onwards, unless otherwise indicated by the reception. Room availability before this time cannot be guaranteed. Check-out must be completed by 10:00 a.m. on the day of departure. Late check-outs are subject to availability and additional charges.

5. Payment
Payments are processed securely through the Stripe platform.
For non-refundable rates, the full amount is charged at the time of confirmation, and the reservation cannot be modified or refunded.
For refundable rates, the amount will be charged automatically 7 days before arrival to the credit/debit card provided at the time of booking (accepted cards: VISA, Mastercard, American Express and UnionPay). Guests may request to use a different card before the 7-day deadline. If the charge fails, the Hotel will inform the guest, and in the absence of a valid replacement card or response, the reservation may be cancelled without further notice. By confirming the booking, the guest expressly authorises Baia Sangiorgio Hotel & Beach Club to charge the due amount to the provided card. In case of cancellation, the guest will be notified by email.
Bank transfer payments: accepted only for companies or VAT holders, for amounts not less than €1,500.00, and exclusively if instant transfer is used. A credit card as guarantee is always required; a pre-authorisation equal to the booking amount will be applied and released once the transfer is received. Bookings made by bank transfer are considered non-refundable. The card used for the booking (refundable or non-refundable) may also be charged later for any extras or penalties (consumptions, minibar, damages, smoking in the room, late check-out, etc.). Cheques, bank transfers and cash payments at check-in are not accepted.

6. Invoicing
If an invoice is required, the relevant data (VAT number or tax code, certified email or unique code, and address) must be provided before payment by ticking the appropriate box during booking and entering them in the “Special Requests” field. The accuracy and completeness of this information are the sole responsibility of the guest. In the event of errors or omissions, a fiscal receipt or invoice will be issued with the provided data, without any possibility of later amendment.

7. Beach and Pool Services
Beach and pool services are available exclusively during the high season, from the second Monday of June to the first Sunday of September. Each room is entitled to the use of one beach umbrella and two deck chairs for stays of at least two nights. On check-in and check-out days, this service is not included and may be available only upon request and with a supplement. For one-night stays, guests may book a paid beach spot for the arrival or departure day at the Welcome Desk. Replacement of deck chairs with sunbeds is possible (subject to availability) at an extra cost of €5.00 per piece per day. The beach is open from 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., and beach spots must be vacated by 6:45 p.m.. The pool is open from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. and from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.; swim caps are mandatory. During the low season (from the day after the first Sunday of September), beach service is no longer available. The pool may remain open until September 30, depending on weather and operational conditions, without guarantee of availability. Services are personal and non-transferable. No refunds are provided in case of bad weather or force majeure.

8. Minibar and Consumptions
Minibar items are not included in the room rate and will be charged separately. Drinks or meals consumed at the bar or restaurant cannot be charged to the room and must be paid for directly on site (cash or card).

9. Other Services
Any service not expressly mentioned in these conditions is subject to the rates in the Hotel’s official price list. The Hotel does not provide extra beds, baby cots, or playpens. Additional services sold through third-party partners (e.g., Booking.com) are subject to their own terms and conditions and are not provided by Baia Sangiorgio, which does not guarantee their availability or delivery.

10. Non-Smoking Rooms
All rooms are non-smoking and equipped with smoke detectors. In case of violation, a cleaning fee of €250.00 will be charged.

11. Pets
Pets of any kind are not allowed, except for guide dogs and assistance animals as required by law.

12. Damages and Liability
Any damage caused to the room, furnishings, or Hotel property during the stay will be charged to the guest. Furniture or items removed from rooms will also be charged. In case of towel removal, the following fees apply: €25.00 (bath towel), €20.00 (face towel), €15.00 (bidet towel), and €10.00 (bathmat). The Hotel is not responsible for any personal belongings or valuables left unattended in rooms or common areas. No complaints will be accepted after check-out.

13. City Tax
The city tax of €3.00 per person per night must be paid at check-in (cash or card). For late check-ins, payment must be made via the link provided in the confirmation email. Certain categories (e.g., minors, persons with disabilities) may be exempted in full or in part. Full details are available on the official website of the City of Bari:

The form must be submitted at check-in and is under the exclusive responsibility of the guest. The Hotel is required to report exemptions to the local authorities.

14. Privacy

Acceptance of Terms
By proceeding with the booking, the guest declares to have read, understood, and fully accepted these terms and conditions, expressly approving – pursuant to Articles 1341 and 1342 of the Italian Civil Code – the clauses referred to in points 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13.
